Pool Maintenance Tips
• Test pH & Free Chlorine levels using a test kit.
• The ideal pH level for swimming pool water is pH 7.5.
• Monitor levels closely during hot sunny spells - strong sunlight can reduce the amount of Chlorine in a swimming pool.
• Regularly clean the pool surfaces including the waterline to ensure that dirt, sun-oils, algae etc is not left to build up.
• The paving slabs surrounding your pool should be cleaned with a strong Chlorine solution, brushed away from the pool.
• Swimming pool water should appear clear and any variations, for example cloudiness, may indicate bacterial or algae growth or contamination.
